Starting or ending your journey on the Indian Pacific in this stunning city is the ideal opportunity to take in some of its many attractions. If you only have a short amount of time, there are plenty of options to explore the region’s attractions like Fremantle, Rottnest Island and the wine regions of the Swan Valley and Margaret River.


With a few more days you will discover some of Australia’s best natural wonders including the amazing dolphins of Monkey Mia and Ningaloo Reef.


If you are feeling a little more adventurous stop off in one of Australia's famous goldfields, Kalgoorlie. It's simple to hop off the train and enjoy 3 days exploring the remote outback to take in the sights and then re-board the next train to continue your journey.
