After making your own way to Darwin it’s time to check in to
the Crowne Plaza Darwin, your base for the next two nights.

DAY 3: Wednesday
Join The Ghan in
Darwin to Katherine
This morning it’s time to join The Ghan where you’ll travel South to Katherine and stop for around four hours giving you enough time to look around town or enjoy a spectacular Whistle Stop Tour at
Katherine Gorge. (LD)
DAY 4: Thursday
Arrive Alice Springs
After arriving in Alice Springs in the morning, you’ll be transferred to the Crowne Plaza Alice Springs, your base for the next three nights. This afternoon is yours free to explore Alice Springs at your leisure. (B)
DAY 5: Friday
Alice Springs
Today is yours to relax, shop or simply look around this

Join The Ghan in Alice Springs to Adelaide
Your morning is free to relax before transferring to the Alice Springs Rail Terminal. Once aboard The Ghan, you’ll enjoy Gold Service as you head South overnight to Port Augusta. (L – light lunch D)
DAY 8: Monday
Arrive Adelaide
Enjoy one last breakfast on board before ending your holiday at Adelaide Parklands Rail Terminal. (B)

To receive concessional travel fares, Great Southern Rail is required to confirm your eligibility for the concession electronically with Centrelink. If you do not want this to happen you will need to contact Centrelink or the Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) to obtain a Pension Concession Letter as proof of your eligibility for the concession and provide this directly to Great Southern Rail before the concession can be given.
